CDS BoD Executive Meeting

Call to order at 6:15 PM
BOD Members Present: Gene Melton (GM), Forrest Wilson (FW), Bill Rotella (BR), Richard Blackburn (RB), Kelly Jessop (KJ), Jeff Bozanic (JB)
New Business:
1. Discussed Book – Articles & Opinions.
2. M) JB/RB motion to offer the following to Bill and Jill for the publication of Articles & Opinions.
1. To offer Jill $5000 for professional services (layout, photography, editing and final proofing services) for the book.
2. Allow Jill & Bill to have right of proofing the book at printing.
3. Allow Jill & Bill to purchase copies of the book at the time of printing at the production cost at time of printing (printing, layout, comp copies (50) and associated expenses). After the production run, they can purchase them at wholesale prices.
4. The copyright held be 3 ways by Jill, Bill, & The CDS
5. Allow Bill & Jill to sell the book anywhere.
6. Every contributor will get 1 free copy, and be allowed to purchase up to 10 copies each at preproduction costs.
Passed unanimous
1. Complaint from an instructor about the time from submitting of C-Cards to printing/returning to the instructor. Time is currently running 4 to 6 weeks. A) GM to contact Sandy and let her know that the C-Cards need to be processed within 7 days of receipt, excluding vacation. See if there is an issue we can help her with.
