Motion to approve minutes of 10-19 meeting, seconded by Al. Unanimous
Al reported that DEMA was successful.
Jim discussed goldline donation for the Dominican Republic. Cheryl wanted us to check the NSS-CDS line inventory, so we could order both and get a better discount. Al is going to discuss with Lamar Hires.
Ken reported that Bob Shulte is interested in making a new map of Little River. He will teach survey to anyone willing to help.
MichaelAngelo said he would try to get a conservation to buy goldline.
Discussed workshops. UWLD offered a light for half price to raffle. Most agreed that that is too much, as other vendors have given us lights to raffle.
TJ reported talking to manager of wildlife preserve, and that nothing has changed because of the accident at Eagle’s Nest.
TJ reported that Alachua had voted to add more land for protection of Mill Creek cave. The city also wants to develop some of the forest area residential. There is concern that our buffer zone might not move with the new properties.
Jim made a motion to accept the proposal from MichaelAngelo to purchase water quality sensors. Seconded by FW. Unanimous.
Ken asked to form an Equipment/Technology committee and an Exploration committee. Joe approved the new committees.
Discussed the 2017 workshop/conference. Brian Kakuk has offered to speak, but Al said the slate was full. Jim suggested we could have two speakers at the same time, in different rooms.
Treasurers report. We have about $62.000, but much is already earmarked for things like UWS, workbooks, attorney fees, and other bills.
Discussed adding more stuff to the store, like maps, and t-shirts. Ken agreed to form a committee to design new tee shirts for the online store.
“Monkey Diver” is still working on the training database software.
Al made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Ken.
