What support is available for both OC and CCR diving?
Underworld Tulum uses ProTec for nitrox and CCR oxygen cylinders. Reliably good
pressure and mixtures. Other gas suppliers / dive shops will be engaged to ensure
everyone has sufficient cylinders for the week.
- Air, Nitrox, Helium and O2 are all available.

- Aluminium 80s sidemount (bring your rigging)
- 13cf aluminum cylinders (limited)
- 2 and 3 litre steel cylinders
How do I rent gear?
Once registration is closed an email will be sent to you with this information. It is
recommended to bring all you need except cylinders, weights and sorb/EACs.
Can I hire a diving guide?
Yes. Guided dives are arranged and paid for through Underworld Tulum.
Strongly recommended: first time Mexico divers, if new to aluminum 80s and if not
current with cave diving.
Fee includes guide, lunch, sorb, gas, cylinders, transportation, site fee. If using EAC
the sorb cost will be deducted.
Some dive sites (shallow and deep) require a guide.
**Daily rate is $260 USD per person for OC and $300 USD per person for CCR. Max
three divers per guide.

Are there restaurants nearby?
Yes. Many dine-in within walking distance.
Is Uber or equivalent an option for transportation?
No.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
Yes, in Tulum. Other options in Puerto Aventuras, etc.
How do I get there?
Tulum (TQO) is 30 minutes from Underworld Tulum.
Cancun (CUN) is at least an hour from Tulum (traffic dependent).
No airport shuttles.
Rental vehicles are possible at both airports and within some towns.
Where can I stay?
Lots of options that include…
Other hotel, condo, etc rentals are within walking distance of Underworld Tulum and
others within a reasonable driving distance. Airbnb, Vrbo, etc. are options in the area.
