Tara Rogers Report on Conservation Easements |
|
Tara gave a brief talk on Conservation Easements, how the Suwannee River Water Management District makes use of them and how their use may affect us. |

Property Insurance |
|
Discussed property insurance for our properties. Consensus was it was cost prohibitive. Matt Bull to provide name/contact information for possible cost permissive Property Insurance.
Action Item: Matt Bull to provide the NSS-CDS with contact information concerning a possible Property Insurance Provider. |

Report on UWS Expenses and Revenues |
|
Cheryl Doran reported on the costs of printing and distributing UWS and what revenues it brings in. There was mention of offering digital copies to non NSS-CDS members. |

DEMA and Beneath The Sea |
|
Since DEMA was already paid for we should man the booth with volunteers. It was decided to investigate the costs of exhibiting at Beneath the Sea and decide whether or not we should do so.
Action Item: Tony Flaris to look into costs of having a booth at Beneath the Sea. |

Lawsuit |
|
Bert Wilcher states we should continue discussion whether or not we release “Tex” Chalkley as an Attorney of Record on the Spencer vs. Cave Diving Section of the National Speleological Society. Additional information is needed before any decision is made. |

|
Reggie expressed dissatisfaction with the adversarial attitude of previous Boards and hoped that this Board would be more cooperative with the instructors and not be confrontational. The Board agreed that it would make an effort to facilitate that relationship so it would grow in a positive manner. |
