Spring Into The Spring at Manatee Springs State Park

Visitors can enjoy a multitude of programs including a Camping Demonstration, a Wildland Fire Fighter program, Springs walk with a Ranger, a Wildlife show, Snorkeling Demonstrations, and more. At the Sturgeon pavilion from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, the young at heart can enjoy crafts revolving around springs and manatees. Visitors can learn more about natural communities, while enjoying a covered wagon ride through the north end trail. Throughout the day use area there will be booths with all types of information from native plants to cave diving. Visitors can pick up a Springs Passport from The Friend`s of Manatee Springs. As visitors fill their passports with stamps from programs and booths, they can show them again to The Friend`s booth and win a prize and be entered to win another larger prize. There will be a little something for everyone here.
Enjoy the Film Festival 6:30pm – 9:00 pm at the Catfish Pavilion. This is featuring Mark Long, cave diver and photographer and Jill Heinerth, underwater explorer and film maker. During his many dives, Mark has explored the caves of Manatee Springs and will share the photographs that very few will ever see. Using photographs, stories and clips from her films, Jill will engage the audience with the excitement of cave diving while offering the audience tools to protect their water resources.
