Two Words: Thank You
As the new NSS-CDS Chairman, I'd like to begin by thanking everyone who has helped get us this far.
- To All CDS Members: Thank you for you ongoing support of safety, conservation, site access and all of the other positive things the Section stands for.
- To All Present and Past Board Members: Thanks for stepping up and undertaking what can only be described as among the most thankless tasks in cave diving.
- To All Candidates and Everyone Who Voted in the Last Election: Thank you for taking part in a process that makes the NSS-CDS the preeminent member-driven cave diving organization. Your voice matters.
- To All of Our Many Sponsors and Supporters: Your ongoing help is invaluable. Thanks again for that.
Now it is time to face the challenges that lie ahead. You only need look at the headlines to realize the world is undergoing the most profound period of change in any of our memories. And while the mission of the NSS-CDS remains the same, how we pursue those goals must change if we are to survive, succeed and grow.
In the months ahead, your Board will be evaluating the steps we need to take to remain healthy in an ever-changing world — and, when prudent, acting on them. As much as possible, we want to do so in an atmosphere of open communication.
Therefore, as your Chairman, I want to extend the following invitation: My door is open. My e-mail and phone number is readily available. If you have questions or concerns, tell me.
